Re: New Swift uprights - Camber issue
Thank you all for your replies. I am stumped also Dave hence why I am just asking what everyone has done. I've checked everything on the front end for straightness and it all checks out OK. The struts are brand new, lcas are new, tie rods are new, uprights are new, all new poly bushes throughout the...

Re: New Swift uprights - Camber issue
OK so coilovers went in today. Set the camber tops to Max camber (which should be more than enough). The front wheels still have 1 degree of positive camber... I'm stumped as apparently no one else has this issue?? Next step is to try camber bolts as well. Can anyone shed any light on this problem?

Re: New Swift uprights - Camber issue
Thanks dmw for the reply. Pauly are you speaking from experience with the new swift uprights? As I know of a few people running standard strut housings with aftermarket king springs that run either modified S15 camber tops or universal otomoto ones. But the people I know running just aftermarket cam...

New Swift uprights - Camber issue
Hi there, just wondering if anyone has had trouble acquiring negative camber when using DMWdaves New swift upright setup on a GTI. I am using camber bolts and can only seem to get positive camber even on max adjustment in either strut hole. The next step will be Adjustable camber tops but just curio...

Re: No wiper jets and audio whine from cigarette lighter.
Hi Dani, The front and rear washer jets both have separate motors that are located inside the front left wheel arch, attached to your washer fluid reservoir. I would start by unplugging the connector that plugs into the motors and have someone operate the washers whilst you check the plug for power ...

Put a set of these into my stock mk2 gti about a week ago. Couldn't be happier with the results! The car is much smoother/faster on take off and can actually launch a whole lot better with less wheel spin. No real negatives to the mounts, a few slight rattles appeared but nothing 5 minutes and some ...

Just took it for another test drive and it sounds to me like the starter motor may not be disengaging completely. Is this a possibility? I cant think why i would only be able to hear it at 5000 rpm unless it disengages a little bit and as engine RPM increase so does Centrifugal force pushing the rin...

Re: My first Mk3 GTI
Cam belt timing is perfect. It sounds like large valve overlap when driving so i am thinking the cam gears might be adjusted incorrectly. Seeing as i need to replace cam seals anyway i will probably swap the stock cam gears back on and see how i go. The car has a grpa chip ecu and was tuned with the...
