Re: O2 sensor for Suzuki Sport
Seems to be a common issue on the sport. I'm @ 90,000km atm, and I've had 2 O2 sensors - but it was the CAT that needed to be replaced.

Re: Towbar for Sport model?
I took mine to a towbar place, where they hoisted it up and checked whether they could.... nope. Not on a sport because of the muffler. I said I don't need a heavy duty ass one, just one for a bike rack + 3 bikes. re: clip ons - not sure if they've changed, but the spoiler (albeit how small it is) b...

Re: Fuel Consumption seems high - I think!!!
Give it about 5000kms to actually let up. Then it'll settle on a fuel consumption. Don't bother check for at 1500kms what it is. My Sport was crazy high (>10l/100km) for the first 3-4 tanks!aussietje wrote:I've only had my baby for 12 days and have done 241 kms.

Re: Engine Light on - MAF sensor?
Godfather - i think you've hit it... yes i was doing about 80-90km/h when it came on the first time (between Nelson Bay and Newcastle). Then it came on again as I approached Canberra CBD (which incidentally is also 80km/h). If its not damaging the engine, it can wait a fortnight, until I'm back in S...

Re: Engine Light on - MAF sensor?
My bad... i meant the IAT. Could this be the issue with my engine light. Can I just use an electronics cleaner like for a MAF? The 'amber' bulb/wire is pretty much black, which i'm thinking is the cause of my problems. And taking it back to Suzuki isn't really on the cards, because I destroyed my or...

Engine Light on - MAF sensor?
My engine light came up on my 08 Sport 2 days ago up in Newcastle. Drove around on it (for about 100kms), was fine, and when I got back Nelson Bay, reset the ECU and light was gone (thought it may have come on because my foot slipped of the clutch while shifting down - i know now, after getting home...

I can say from experience, no it doesn't impede gear changes (and I'm a big guy)... I had mine out the other day while I was cleaning it, and ducked down to the shops... couldn't believe how much I missed it

Pick up some Phillip Power2Nite into your stock lights. Fully ADR compliant. Not as bright as crystal vision (not ADR compliant).

I don't want a Cino or GTI basher - as I'll be sad that I can't take the Sport out onto the mountain. That was the whole point of getting the damn thing - as its handling is fantastic!

I'm the opposite - I have to rack up as many KMs as possible (private or business) for tax reasons!
I might be able to get all the way up to 30,000kms! Then there's pretty much no FBT on my car
I love the fact that all my fuel and mods are tax deductible
