Girlfriend still has a GTI, i still have my Cultus. It runs and does awd paddock spins but still needs me to finish putting in the interior with seats etc. Runs well though. Daily is a company Commodore. Just bought a house so broke hehe!

Engine + Gearbox are in. Good fun ;). Changed the waterpump, timing belt crank seal and cam seals. Replaced the engine look and connecting loom to fuse box and interior. Cleaned the engine and gearbox. Replaced cv boots and cleaned headlights. Good fun on the weekend.. Should be nearly ready to star...

That was the first start. I replaced the oil with some cheap stuff and it wouldnt have even hit the lifters ;). i will try some nulon fs oil. i had to replace hte fuel pump, fuel filter, all the fuel lines, coolant hoses were missing, battery was dead and a whole bunch of fuses were missing. it has torn into the section that the thrust bearing goes onto and slides up and down. I am not 100% sure if it is part of the bellhousing as i have not pulled apart a gearbox, yet.

To repair the gear box, the thrust bearing exploded and has damaged the shaft enough that a new bearing doesnt fit on nicely...so it needs to be replaced.Dattman wrote:As a clutch alighnment tool or to repair a gearbox?

I went to my mechanic today (suziworld) to ask about whether or not they could install my new SR20 TB and matching AFM and Intake Manifold. They said yes no issue. I was (am) under the impression that a higher flow fuel rail and AFPR are needed also for this conversion, so as to not have the engine...
