I'm looking into getting a new headunit with iPod/iPhone compatibility
it's been a while since I have been in the audio scene and I don't know what's good and what's s**t anymore
I want a decent quality h/u that can play loud and clear with out an amp runnning the speakers and decent tunabilty
will be running a set of 6 inch splits in the doors and that is it!
I'm thinking about grabbing a mid range alpine deck, but just checking other peoples opinions
Cheers

Why the hell would you want to listen to some ol' wireless set whilst driving a GTi, Son?Pauly wrote:I'm looking into getting a new headunit with iPod/iPhone compatibility

Pauly,
Your probably better off saving a couple of hundred dollars and going budget with the Head deck, (Given it does what your looking for it to do); and spend the money you would have used on better quality splits.
My deck is a worth $150, and when I tune it correctly; it sounds identical to my brothers $600 deck.

hey mate ring frankies auto electrics ask to speak to bret or frank the owner he is very close mate of mine he will smash any price in sydney and have posted to your door steep i would personally go with pioneer or kenwood you prob get like 500 dollar deck for like maybee 200 to 280 posted
I'm using this Kenwood h/u http://mobile.jbhifi.com.au/car-sound-g ... sku-99149/ I've had it for 2.5yrs now and had no dramas. It works great, sounds good "depending on your configuration" I also use the AUX jack for my iPhone. It works a treat and it's cheap as chips. If your concerned about the phone flying around while it's connected to the AUX jack, u can simply use one of the drink holders and have the other one free for your rum

But does that have iPod connectivity??tom-storm wrote:Enough with the recommendations! He said he doesn't wont one... unless it looks like mine.
