Hey guys, i got some serious problems with my headunit and Im completely stumped!!

Specs:
Pioneer headunit - connected to car using wiring harness
Clarion Amp 1 channel
12" Clarion sub

The amp only drives the sub and im running stock factory speakers off the headunit

Problem:

I have no power in my head unit at all. Ive checked continuity along the entire power wire at every connection point and i got a positive reading. Ive checked the voltage running from the battery all the way down to the headunit connecter and im getting a perfect 12v reading. Ive also checked the continuity on my ground wire and its fine.

Just in case i checked my fuse (which is only for the amp/sub) and power running to my boot (amp/sub) and that was fine too.

Took headunit back to the shop, they connected it up there and it turned on perfectly.

I cant find any reason why my headunit which worked fine before will suddenly stop now.

Any help appreciated, im desperate!! ](*,)

Get a multimeter onto the accessory line, see if you're getting power from it.

Check your joiners including solder joints. One of then could be high resistance. It will show 12v on the multimeter, but due to resistance in the joint wont carry any current to power the head unit.

this is going to sound a little weird, but check the fuse that's got your lights on it. when i blew my stereo thats the one that went kaput.

it worked fine before, it just randomly stopped working one day while i was driving. And a few weeks before that it was messing up also. Whenever id plug in my usb or aux, the whole thing would shutdown and start up again..weird

im pretty noob at this so i dont really know what that means. the only fuse i installed was the one for the amp. I didnt come across any other fuse during my installation other than the one on the headunit itself

look in the footwell on the drivers side, tucked up a little towards the kickpanel is the fusebox for ALL the main fuses (lights, accessory power, heater, AC, airbags, etc.) will be there. check those ones. most likely it'll be a 10A blade fuse thats blown.

It was one of the fuses. The accessory fuse had blown.

Thanks for the help guys! :D
