What's a stereo ?
Better add Quads to mine now.
Speaking of Stereo's its no wonder Hyper Sound don't exist anymore, either that or Fast Fours didn't pay them. The install they did in Boogs' car was the WORST job I have ever seen.
Boogs better pull out those back seat squabs.....got some fixed back seats here......
Swift gone.

haha
this is a great post!
To all those on a budget, go to the wreckers and/or have boyfriends that spend money on their stuff to hand down to you.
Unfortunately being a straight male, I don't have a b/f to give me stuff, the only thing i spent on my system was a new headunit (Sony MP3/Aux-in thingo). Didn't even bother to get new speakers so just have a pair of 4" Sansui POV packs sitting in the front. Thought about putting in my amp and sub from the Sierra but that's more of my pimp car and the GTi's my performance machine. So I'll keep it lightweight for now

my system is
4" Jaycar response coaxial 2 ways in each front door, in the mounting points that suzuki put there for me lol, not actually fixed into the metal panel, just fixed with the screw and speed clips to the door trim, the speakers arent very heavy.
6x9" Jaycar response coaxial 5 ways in the custom parcel tray, which i just finished bout 20 mins ago, just needs to be painted or carpeted (paint's cheaper lol)
BOSS AVA-450 160wx2 amplifier mounted under passenger seat (take out seat, pull up carpet, slide a piece of timber underneath a bit bigger than the amp (10mm thick is enough) and place carpet back over the wood. feel for the wood thru the carpet and place the amp ontop of it, drive the screws thru the amp mounts thru the carpet into the timber.
and put seat back in
same deal with 6x9 wiring, cept from dash and not under seat
i havent got a H/U or a sub yet, but im planning on a small 10 inch sub and a kenwood MP3/CD head unit
i used molex connectors at the dash to connect the H/U to the speaker and power wiring, 8 way for the speakers (+ and - for each speaker) and 3 way for the power (B+, ACC+ and GND)
when i get the H/U, ill wire the male molex connectors to the wiring and hook it all up.
this was in the car when i got it, was soon ripped out.

I've just started on my new one.
I have stripped down a new Alpine IVA-W202 2-din screen to change the LED's to orange. Then I will mould it into the dash after it is resprayed to match the factory colours.
Alpine badging will also be removed. The idea is to make it look like a stock in-dash screen.
I will post some pics when I'm done...
