Yesterday I offered to send the info about cutting the bumpstops for shorter springs. That's why it's needed. I will pm it to you when I get home. OK?

I think the problems have only started. Chances are you will damage your shocks because they will bottom out.
I rang king springs with standard shock for about 9 months and them 12 months with konis. It was better with the konis, but still to stiff for a daily. Then I took out the springs because my back could handle it anymore.

Oh, Pugman, Was that the issue you were getting at? Sorry i thought you were just saying that I should keep the bump stops. Sorry I didnt get you at that time. I was in a rush, it was noisy and I just kinda noded.
Thanks man
Marky, yea this is only temporary, I will get new shocks asap.
If I could put up with coilovers on the street than these should be fine.

If you're not sure of it then by all means get more advice! Once cut they stay cut.
For info SuzukiSport do (did?) sell some other bumpstops to go with their coilovers, pictured on here about a screen down:

J333EVO wrote:After moving house I came across the information provided by Suzuki Sport with there 20mm lowered springs, this will apply to anyone who has fitted or will fit lowered springs as it will stop the car bottoming out on the bump stops, preventing the cars suspension from working correctly, and making the car very hard and skitterish, and possibly dangerous as a consequence.
On the front bump stops remove 15mm from the top of the bump stop, i.e. the bit that sits against the top mount, not the bottom as this is tapered with the groove cut into it.
On the rears, cut it at the first groove from the bottom of the bump stop, the bump stop has three grooves in total for referance.

Thanks for the info Pugman. However I've decided to put them in later now after seeing them on the car. They lower about 40mm, which is quite low leaving a small amount of travel for the shocks even when I trial fitted them with no bump stops. I've decided to get new heavy duty shocks and put them in together, at a suspension shop so it'll be done properly.

I have had to commodore pan hard rod lengthened by 110mm and it fits nicely. Although i think only a 100mm extension is necessary. Also one bush and crush tube will need to be machined down a little. Other than that no problems.
Thanks sk4wd drive for helping out.

Thats the one that I bought. They are too short for the ignis, therefore need to be extended.
