Out of the boxs the ignis sport top speeds is 190 k's.they go quiet fine untill 160/170 mark then the last 20 or so k's take a bit to wind up to.I doult a standard ignis top speed would exceed the 180 mark. :D

not enough top end power for the ignis top get top speed quickly + what ignis sport said about the gearing doesnt help.
how ever not confirming or denying it  they can go 175km on flat road if there enough stright

Best I ever got was 174kph. That was in 5th without hitting the limiter. I think 4th topped out at 172 (despite the manual saying 185).

To be honest it's the sort of thing you try once just to see. There's no real point in repeating it.

Agree with all of the above ........... not that ive tried :P i suspect a downward gradient would be required to get near the claimed 185, and at a guess, 185 would be ridicuously scarey on 195 rubber and such a short wheelbase.

Not really. There wasn't any steering wobble or anything (I think I had a very recent balance and alignment when I did it).

However that was on a very straight stretch of freeway dead in the middle of a weeknight. The slightest corner or even one other car on the road and you'd s**t brix.

Was someone telling you to SLOW DOWN -- driving at such speeds doesnt prove ANYTHING. ... could be any number of things, from road surface, to tyres, to balancing ... etc.

He is not in Australia, its probably not so bad in Barbados lol. I reckon we're the only ones that get drilled on speeding :!:

I never bothered with top speed on Iggy, its too slow after 140 for me.
Now me and Ronald McDonald here are gonna have to rip open the counter, and replace the Onion Rings you fried.

200kmh 95 octane fuel, panel power filter, standard suspension/engine/wheels/tyres, slight downhill, would say capable of 210kmh....on private roads of course! ;)
