Got a not so good surprise this morning with a big puddle of Gear oil on the floor of my shed.Turns out the left hand drive shaft decided to move out buy and inch from the gear boxs .Knowing there was a recall on IS for there left hand drive shaft circlips whitch were not up to standard I contacted Suzuki and low and behold my one was never done. As I live 100ks plus from my nearest suzuki dealer this was not and option to take it in ,so there sending me the circlip. After removing the drive shaft all seems fine with the only circlip thats iffy is the one at the end of the drive shafts spline,so I expect thats the probleum.Has any body else repaired theres buy them selfs, and is this circlip all that holds the drive shaft from floating out of the gear boxs. :o

I case anyone is wondering. This is the faulty circlip that you have to replace.

Yes that circlip is what holds the driveshaft in place. The easy way to tell if the recall had been done is the sticker they put in the door jamb.

Recall sticker should look something like this.Usually located in the drivers door A pillar. And as far as I can tell all IS made required the recall , just like the passengers air bag. :)
